The Ultimento homepage has been crafted to be customer and SEO friendly while also being extremely easy to edit for the store owner. Each component of the homepage is controlled by a different static block so that all modifications can be done directly in the Maento Admin Panel.
To get a better idea of what we're talking about, here's a snapshot of the homepage with each block highlighted.
You can see that, other than the Magento controlled header, everything is in a static block for easy editing.
- ult_header_callout - This block gives you ability to easily drop in promotional banners, company taglines, or whateve else you want. You can even disable the block to allow for wider company logos.
- ult_home_share - Social links cleanly "float" off the right side of the homepage, but you can change this to other content if you like or disable it all together.
- ult_home_top_callout - These boxes to the left of the slider allow you to grab your customers' attention by calling out promotions, new products, testimonials, and more. You can include images, change the number of boxes, or even create one large block for whatever you want. This is a great location for SEO-centric copy.
- ult_home_top_gallery - The slider is the centerpiece of your website. A collection of high-res images that dynamically rotate to catch the eye. You can make all sorts of adjustments to the slider such as changing the image order, count, linking, and more.
- ult_home_center_callout - Just below the first portion of the homepage, these 4 sections of content give you an excellent location for presenting your customers with information about you and your product.
- Home page - One of the key features of Ultimento, the ability to dynamically include products on the homepage is critical to conversion rates and customer retention. This code is controlled by the "Home page" page (not a block for this one) and you can edit the number of rows and products per row. Just set a product's "New" date range to be active in the Magento product catalog and it will show up automatically.
- ult_footer_tabs - A tab-based footer is perfect for allowing you to put all your important site details and links in one easy to find place that wont look overloaded with content. Each tab is easily editable in plain HTML and this is another great opportunity to enter SEO-rich content.
