First Live Ultimento 3 Clients

We are super excited to see our customers getting on Ultimento 3 for their Magento store in almost no time. Within one week we have several live customers up and running confirming our belief that the ultimate Magento template enables customers to focus on what they do best and not having to spend days trying to get the theme working. Below are a couple of examples – one based on the elegant light theme and one on the racier dark theme. We hope you enjoy the Magento themes as much as we do.

Magento Conference is Rocking. Community 1.7! Enterprise 1.12! New APIs! Angry Birds!

We’re live at the Magento conference in Vegas and have lots to report. Aside from all the meetings with the Magento team and other great developers, we have a ton of new announcements to report.

For one, Magento has released Community Edition 1.7. This new version will have numerous fixes and features and should be available starting today. Commative’s products, including Ultimento, have been tested with the beta versions of 1.7 and we’ll be checking out the final release to make sure everything works as it should.

Also of note, Enterprise 1.12 has also made its debut as well. This marks another substantial improvement on the heavy duty version of Magento for larger sites.

Beyond that, there are new APIs, Magento 2.0 was announced and will be released in Q1 2013, and thousands of Angry Birds flew into the conference to announce that AngryBirds.com is going live today on Magento!

Commative.com is Live! Ultimento Turns 3!

We have been a bit quiet on the blog front this week, but with good reason: We are pleased to announce that Ultimento 3 has been released. It boasts a ton of new features and extensions including:

 

 

Exploding menu/Mega-menu extension that directly ties to the product categories on your standard Magento admin panel

Product carousel extension enables you to show more products on just one row so you don’t take up valuable real estate space

Rich snippets for improved SEO

Magento homepage slider extension has added functionality and spaces for promoting your company and products

Homepage Social Links bring Facebook and Google+ direct to your customers

Magento shopping cart extension gives you a dynamic drop down menu for easy access to the cart from any page

Pinterest is now part of product pag social bookmarks and marketing links

….And much more. We have also included two brand new Magento templates which have been significantly modified to make them easier to edit and customize. Almost all of your site’s content can now be edited directly through Magento’s Admin Panel.

We are mighty happy with this latest release. In fact, we decided to use it to power our own store.

Another Milestone for Magento

We came across a recent blog post that further supports our enthusiasm for the Magento platform so we thought we’d share it with all of our customers and readers. In just four years or so, Magento has reached an estimated 20% market share within the top 1 million e-commerce sites according to Alexa. That is an amazing achievement in our opinion and we are pleased to be part of this growth.

We firmly believe this trend will continue and as a Magento Bronze solution partner, Commative is dedicated to this platform. This is the reason we keep working on new Magento themes and extensions and provide custom work where needed to help our customers get the best e-commerce site possible.
